Christmas is a time for merriment, family togetherness, community outreach, and lots of great food. If you’re anything like us, you’re doing your best not to think about having to buy a gym membership on January 1st because you ate too many holiday cookies. The good news is, you can take “gym membership” off your holiday wish-list. All you need to keep off those Christmas pounds is a day of play at Charleston Fun Park.
4 Ways to Get a Workout at Charleston Fun Park
Climbing Wall. Ready to feel sore tomorrow? The climbing wall tests your strength, endurance, and overall fitness. It’s 35’ of fun that exercises and strengthens muscles in your arms, legs, and core. In fact, you’d be hard-pressed to find a muscle that climbing doesn’t exercise. Each session is about 5 minutes with 4 levels of difficulty depending on your experience level (and how many holiday lattes you had before work this week).
- Go-Karts. How much could go-karts help really? I mean, you’re sitting down, right? Yes, but whipping around the track uses some serious muscles in your arms and core. While a go-kart race won’t help much in the cardio department, your abs will definitely feel the burn tomorrow.
- Putt-putt. Okay, you didn’t eat the whole Christmas ham. Just half. Take it easy with a walk around our 18-hole putt-putt course. Between carrying your club around the course and 18+ swings, you’ll burn just enough calories to not feel guilty about grabbing an extra cookie at your next holiday party.
- Arcade. You can get a great workout playing video games. It just takes a little creativity! Go head-to-head with a skee-ball battle, and you’ll be surprised at how much you work your arms and obliques. Or turn a sedentary game into your daily cardio by adding a victory lap between rounds.
