
Spring is upon us and Charleston has a lot of fun family-friendly events up its sleeve! Here’s our guide to the best events in Charleston for Spring 2019:
Saturday, March 23rd: Woofstock
Woofstock is a Lowcountry Dog Music Festival featuring 7 bands, food trucks, local vendors, and 6 local rescue groups. The event will take place at Brittlebank park from 11 AM to 7 PM. Admission will be $26 for adults and free for kids 12 and under.
Sunday, April 2: Lowcountry Kids Expo & Summer Camp Fair
This free event at Gaillard Center is an expo for family-friendly products, services, resources, and summer camps. Families can come and enjoy free bounce houses, face painting, a photo booth, laser tag, balloon animals, and more.
Friday, April 5: Cooper River Bridge Kids’ Run and Wonderfest
The Cooper River Bridge Kids’ Run and Wonderfest is a free fitness and fun festival at Hampton Park from 2 PM to 7 PM. The festival will feature foot races, musical acts, jump castles, a mechanical bull, an obstacle course, a climbing wall, pony rides, arts and crafts, face painting, food, drinks, and many other vendors and events.
Friday, April 12: “Trolls” Movie Night
“Trolls” will be playing at Allan Park from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM and is free to the public.
Monday, April 15: The Greatest Showman: Sing-Along
In Part 1 of their sing-along film series, Charleston Music Hall will be screening The Greatest Showman from 7 PM to 9 PM. Tickets will be $8.
Starting Saturday April 13: Charleston Farmers Market
Beginning April 13th, Charleston Farmers Market will occur weekly throughout the warmer months. The market will offer a variety of fresh local produce, artisans & crafters, community groups, live music, jump castles, free activities for the kids, and more.
